THRESHOLDS CONFERENCE / COVID-19 Update (March 19, 2020)

Hospice of Southern Maine’s highest priority is to protect your health. Like you, we have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation and the CDC’s guidance for large community events. At this time, we have not yet made any decisions about modifying, postponing, or cancelling the 2020 Trail of Memories event that is currently scheduled for early June. We will continue to assess the situation and will post regular updates on our website.

Trail of Memories

Adding a brick to the Trail of Memories Terrace is a wonderful way to remember a loved one while supporting end-of-life care at Hospice of Southern Maine. Brookstone bricks from Pine Hall Bricks are engraved here in Maine with the text of your choice. Your brick will be added to the Terrace, bordered by the lovely gardens, at Hospice of Southern Maine’s Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. Bricks are engraved and planted every spring, at which time you and your family are invited to attend the Trail of Memories dedication ceremony.

We welcome everyone’s participation in the annual event and suggest a gift of $500 per brick, which allows us to maintain the Terrace and cover costs of essential patient and family services of Hospice of Southern Maine. Hospice of Southern Maine is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, and your gift is tax deductible to the extent of the law.

You may order a brick online, or print our mail-in order form. Due to the engraving process, orders for the next dedication must be received by May 15th.

For more information, please contact Margaret Orelup in the development office at 207-289-3643 or at give@hospiceofsouthernmaine.org.
