Access Department - Admissions RNs, Full Time & Part Time 32-Hours (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

  • Graduate of an NLN accredited nursing program
  • BSN or MSN strongly preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years nursing experience required
  • Experience in home and inpatient care settings required
  • Proficient in palliative symptom management and end of life care required.
  • Teaching or equivalent experience required
  • Experience using an electronic documentation system in a clinical setting required 
  • Current Hospice and Palliative Nursing (CHPN) certification strongly preferred or willing to obtain certification within 12 months is required

  • Completion of approved nurse practitioner program; Master’s preferred
  • Three or more years of experience working in an inpatient or nursing facility, internal medicine or family practice environment required
  • Experience in a hospice program preferred
  • Registered Nurse licensure, with current approval to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by the State of Maine

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education required
  • Minimum of 5 years social work experience in a healthcare setting required
  • Professional pastoral counseling in a healthcare setting required
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience managing/supervising employees required
  • Experience in providing clinical guidance, consultancy and support related to patient care and staff issues
  • Demonstrated time management, effective conflict management and cultural competence
  • Licensed by the State of Maine at the LCSW level and Ministerial license, ordination or endorsement from a faith tradition required
