Bake Sale: Giving Back Never Tasted So Sweet

Hospice of Southern Maine would like to congratulate Mac’s Deli of Scarborough on their 5th year in business! On Friday, May 18th, Mac’s Deli celebrated at their Route One location by hosting a Customer Appreciation BBQ, in addition to a Bake Sale benefiting HSM.

Mac’s Deli was swimming with enthusiastic customers who enjoyed a spread of hamburgers, hot dogs, and of course, Mac’s legendary homemade salads. The Bake Sale supporting Hospice of Southern Maine was also a tasty hit! Sweet-toothed guests enjoyed homemade cookies, bars, brownies, whoopie pies, and cupcakes, along with fresh baked breads from Sorella's Bakehouse in Portland.

Now the owner of Mac’s Deli, Tyson Millette was the original Cook at HSM’s Gosnell Memorial Hospice House when they opened their doors back in 2007. Passionate about end-of-life care, it was important to Tyson to support HSM while celebrating a milestone in his new venture.

Hospice of Southern Maine is appreciative of the support from Mac’s Deli and Catering, and to everyone that attended the Bake Sale. This event was a success because of those with an appetite not just for the sweet and the savory, but for giving back to the community. Thank you!
