What type of service does this program offer?  Living Well offers specially trained, experienced, and caring volunteers to provide friendship, emotional support, light housekeeping, food preparation, errands, and short daytime respite "breaks" for the caregiver.

Our Volunteer Coordinator serves as the case manager.  A visit from our Social Worker and Pastoral Coordinator are also available.  Services are guided by an Interdisciplinary Care Team upon admission and monthly thereafter while the client is on service.

I have a terminal illness but am still seeking treatment; am I eligible for this type of support?  Yes.  Individuals receiving Living Well services can concurrently undertake curative medical treatments.

Where is the volunteer support provided?  Services are provided in the individual's residence and includes the involvement of family members participating in the person's care.

How is the Living Well Program different from regular hospice services?  The Living Well Program is unique because it provides services to people who are receiving curative treatment, who have an estimated prognosis of one year or less, and who are having difficulty coping with their illness.
