• Making a Gift to Hospice of Southern Maine

  • Our ability to provide care to everyone, regardless of age or ability to pay, is made possible through generous donations and gifts from our community.

How will my gift be used?

Your gift will help support the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House which opened in August of 2007 and has served nearly 400 patients in 2009.

Your gift supports our ability to provide Bereavement services to any adult in our community who has experienced the death of a loved one – whether or not their loved one received hospice services. Individuals may participate in our no cost bereavement support groups or receive one-on-one bereavement support. For more information about our Bereavement services, click here.

Your gift funds Living Well, a volunteer based, non-clinical case management service for individuals with a life limiting illness who are not yet ready for hospice clinical care. We offer volunteer services which provide patient support and needed assistance to caregivers. For more information about Living Well, click here.

Your gift will fund Tidewaters, a new service dedicated to supporting families of children facing the end of life. This program is offered in partnership with HomeHealth Visiting Nurses of Southern Maine. For more information about Tidewaters, click here.

Your gift will help provide 40 hours of training for volunteers, double the hours required by Medicare. For information on how you can volunteer, click here.
