Hospice of Southern Maine is the only program in southern Maine with an inpatient hospice facility. The 18-bed Gosnell Memorial Hospice House was designed to meet the unique needs of patients with a life-limiting illness.The Gosnell Memorial Hospice House is not a hospital, nursing home or rehabilitation center. It is a home where you and your loved ones can share time together. Each patient’s private suite becomes home with a kitchenette, dining table for individually cooked meals and a sofa bed. The house also offers a living room with a fireplace, a dining room, the Grief and Loss Library, a sanctuary, landscaped gardens, a spa room, wireless Internet access and several quiet places for reflection.
