Community Education and Outreach
At Hospice of Southern Maine we pride ourselves on supporting the community as a whole by raising awareness, encouraging volunteerism and advocating for an improved social framework regarding all end-of-life issues.
Hospice of Southern Maine reaches out to educational institutions in the community to provide education and training for students of medicine, nursing, social work and various other disciplines. We collaborate with area universities on research and data collection aimed at improving end-of-life care.
Our collaborative and cooperative relationships with local hospitals, home health agencies, physicians and other care providers help us foster awareness, educate and advance the quality of end-of-life care in southern Maine.
